Now, about the opportunity: As HR Business Partner at an S4 company , you will drive and support the operations and people strategy to ensure we attract, retain and develop great people who are passionate about S4 and its culture as we scale rapidly. You will take the initiative and serve as a guide to our business and mid-level managers while also being flexible and creative on the best ways to implement and execute.
Reporting directly to our Sr. HR Business Partner and Benefits and Leaves Team Lead, this is a dual role that supports day-to-day HR operational support and serves as a subject matter expert on our benefits and leaves programs.
In this role you will:
- You are responsible for all things HR within the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure S4's culture is embodied through the entire employee lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the global HR Disciplines to drive talent management, culture, diversity, and inclusion programs.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws. Research requirements where we have a presence and communicate findings to leadership.
Manager/Employee Support
- Oversee and implement our benefits and leaves programs.
- Act as an all-around point of contact, handling or escalating incoming requests from mid-level management.
- Conduct ongoing feedback loops for employee engagement, performance, and development opportunities.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, at times working with senior HR leadership and counsel.
- Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations reducing legal risks while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Effectively manage immigration and mobility cases.
S4 Initiatives
- Provide support for a variety of special initiatives at the direction of HR Leadership. The nature and scope of the initiatives will vary considerably depending on organizational needs.
- Special initiatives will often be identified and proposed by you and other HR Business Partners. When an opportunity to strengthen operational efficiency, improve the employee experience, or increase organizational effectiveness, you will take the initiative and consult with team members.
Experience you already have:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in an HR function.
- Comprehensive experience on all HR elements involved in the lifecycle of an employee, from post recruitment to end of employment.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, and DOL requirements.
- Strong experience working in a role that requires a high degree of confidentiality.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude; intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Sheets is required.
- Excellent project management skills and experience.
- Proven ability to work independently but also effectively in a collaborative environment with diverse coworkers.
- Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated strong teamwork and collaborative skills working in a dynamic and changing multinational organization.
- Ability to use reason and de-escalation skills to manage difficult or emotional situations.
- Strong employee advocacy experience; Handling sensitive matters with empathy, diplomacy, attention, and care.
- Comfortable working in a multi-national environment that requires flexibility and adaptability.
- Experience with Workday is strongly preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or PCI professional certification strongly preferred.
