Job description
This person will be hired on a temporary to permanent basis but will be benefit eligible. This position will be a mix of in office and remote. Incumbent must be willing to travel about 15% of the time.
POSITION SUMMARY:
****Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience recruiting CDLA Drivers for a Trucking/Transportation company or with a Driver Staffing Agency. *****
The Recruiter will establish external applicant recruitment sources for Company Driver positions for the Braselton location and branch locations, maintain applicant pools and records ensuring regulatory compliance, and administer appropriate screening processes to determine applicant qualifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Recruits external applicants in a timely and cost-efficient fashion and implements processes necessary for effective selection.
•Must generate Driver Leads.
•Conducts pre-screening interviews using screening and selection methods to identify qualified applicant pools for targeted positions.
•Administers DOT background checks and drug testing processes
•Maintains effective contact with recruiting sources and hiring management.
•Ensures applicants are properly screened, interviewed, and processed in a professional, consistent manner, following all company processes.
•Maintains applicant records including applicant tracking system requirements and pre-hire checklists including employment references.
•Studies and remains current on state and federal laws and regulations regarding employee selection, and develops a working knowledge of company benefits that relate to the selection process.
•Ensures that accurate records are maintained.
•Assists in the administration of approved screening tools for internal applicants.
•Participates in career fairs as needed
•All other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
•Minimum of (3) three years Driver recruitment experience for D.O.T. regulated positions required.
•Prior experience with applicant tracking systems.
•Knowledge of recruitment, selection and employment practices.
•Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment and general human resources practices.
•Good communications and human relations skills.
•Must be highly organized and have excellent follow up skills,
•Working knowledge of computer software such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
