Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
Assist in leading plant purchasing functions which include logistics, material
planning, transportation, and warehousing.
Advanced understanding of material requirements planning (MRP). Use this
knowledge as the basis for placing purchase orders, cancelling orders, expediting
orders with correct QTY's, accurate delivery dates within the correct lead time.
Develop and manage supplier relationships based on trust through critical and
Analytical feedback. Develop & distribute consistent forecast and apply supplier's
capacity limitations to inventory considerations and PO placement.
Work with operations and commercial managers to ensure service and inventory
plans and execution are consistent with business financial and cost goals.
Supports internal manufacturing operations, including planning, network
optimization, distribution, continuous improvement, and procurement.
Support inventory optimization efforts and procurement strategies to ensure best in
class cash conversion cycle attainment. Development of supporting inventory,
volume, service, and space requirements.
Identify and implement new or "best practices" designed to drive a world class
supply chain.
Support multiple departments with both direct and indirect functions, including Raw
Material, Transportation, Logistics, Warehousing.
Ensure goals are aligned with Operations. Supply chain and inventory strategies and
objectives are measured with relevant key performance metrics across all locations
(including financial, production, service, etc.).
Interact and partner with leadership and operational teams.
Identify and analyze supply chain risks and opportunities and help develop solutions
with a positive team centric attitude.
Assist with maintaining and tracking critical raw material needed for the business.
Proactively communicate any material issues: ex. shortages and delays
Assist with MRO purchases when needed.
Perform other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Finance, Industrial
Engineering, or related discipline.
At least 5 years of supply chain and purchasing experience to include operations
strategy development, supply chain management, logistics, and procurement.
Demonstrated success in SRM, Strategic Sourcing, Category
Management. Experience in resin-based categories is a big plus.
Procurement Certifications - Certified Purchasing Manager, Certified Supply Chain
Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a
plus.

This position will report to the Purchasing Manager

Experience in a high-volume, multi-segment, and multi process manufacturing
organization
Strong professional knowledge in all aspects of supply chain, procurement (category
management, SRM, contract management) and continuous improvement, logistics,
demand planning, inventory optimization, SIOP, production planning, transportation,
warehousing, order processing and customer collaboration.
Must have detailed understanding of MRP, fulfillment/buying, demand planning and
forecasting.
Strong skills in collaborating with internal and external customers.
Ability to sell and convey new business ideas and concepts.
