Human Resource and Office Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Human resource (HR) coordinator will undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. The HR Coordinator will report to the CEO.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:

Full-Time, "AT-WILL" salaried position working Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain Human Resource Information system records and compile reports as needed
  • Coordinates onboarding and offboarding and manages communication
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll
  • Assist in benefit enrollment, changes and terminations
  • Assist with the recruitment process
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
  • Coordinate H2B application process
  • Workers' compensation management
  • Handles incoming calls and greets visitors in a courteous manner
  • Coordinates supplies for the office
  • Assist with travel arrangement
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems or related software.
  • Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish)

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years related experience required.
  • SHRM-CP credential preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear;
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 5-50lbs occasionally;
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance;
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision; color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
