PURPOSE:

The Assistant Supervisor directs and coordinates team members in a flexible packaging manufacturing operation. The Assistant Supervisor leads the team in ensuring that the customer's specifications are being met, employees are being trained and quality is maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyzes production schedule to plan work of team members and assigns work load to make sure the finished product is produced in a consistent and timely manner.

Trains team members in correct operating procedures, safety and quality policy procedures.

Directs team members in equipment production setups. During production monitors production equipment, raw materials and directs personnel in performing operations according to sound production methods to make sure a product is being produced and packaged that meets a customer's quality specifications and takes immediate corrective action to eliminate any causes of sub-standard product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A High school diploma or GED preferred

A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in blown film manufacturing

Knowledge of supervisory skills

Ability to work any shift as needed
