At PeopleFind, we are committed to the delivery of outstanding results. We seek to engage a Business Developer for our law firm staffing category who knows the legal industry well and who can effectively position our firm and the benefits we bring to the legal industry.

We seek someone who has intimate knowledge of the industry seeking an opportunity to generate a flow of income. You may be a retired or retiring attorney, legal assistant or paralegal, or, you may still be active but have time available during normal business hours to work with our firm. You have confidence, conviction and know how to build relationships. You must have a background in the legal industry and you will be comfortable working in the legal industry in Canada and/or the USA. Your effectiveness in this role will depend on your ability to build relationships with legal firms, understand their staffing needs and your ability to execute PeopleFind's business development strategy.

The key is adaptability and effective selling of recruiting services. We are looking for an individual who knows how to overcome roadblocks and challenges and take advantage of opportunities. Success will be based on opportunity identification, ability to effectively represent our positioning and differential capability, and then your skill and ability to use persuasion and negotiation to deliver the sale with or without the assistance of our legal recruiting team or President.

In this position you will be expected to understand the staffing needs of target firms and to effectively communicate PeopleFind's positioning, differentiating benefits and distinguishing characteristics. You will be expected to establish contact with the right individuals within target organizations and develop relationships or revitalize former relationships by establishing the need for professional 3rd party recruiting, creating interest in our services, and securing a good service agreement.

THE OPPORTUNITY AND INCOME:
As long as you are in any way connected with the law firm staffing business at PeopleFind, you will share into the commission generated by our law firm focused team.

This role is for people who know the law firm industry. Anything and everything else you need to know will be communicated, and, if you are a good student, your ramp up might be two to three weeks.

The primary task of the "Business Developer - Law Firms" is to secure business from new clients. He/she earns commission on the first order generated with the client he or she sources and on all subsequent placements with that client as long as he/she remains with PeopleFind. Commission earned on the first order generated will be split into three equal shares for the Business Developer, the Law Recruiter and PeopleFind. The first order will cover one or more positions as required. On subsequent orders, the "Business Developer - Law Firms" will earn 10% of the commission even though he/she will not likely be involved in securing addition mandates (orders) from established clients. In this sense he/she earns an annuity once the Law firm is secured as a client. Income should grow year after year. Although, this may be a guess, it is reasonable to expect a full time business developer to earn $50,000 in Year One and a higher amount each year thereafter, commensurate with skill as a business developer and return to a growth driven economy.

Other factors - such as fee charged clients and seniority of assignments - will affect results. Having a network of contacts to reach out to will help, as well.
