Job Summary


We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team at a new Home Health Care platform. Reporting to the CFO, the Business Development Manager will work to identify, build relationships with, and acquire businesses in identified territories. The company will deploy a highly acquisitive strategy and the BD Manager will be the face of that strategy. The BD Manager will be responsible for ensuring that new partners align with our mission, vision, and values. The position is full-time on-site, located in the Greater Chicago area.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:


  • Having over 1,000 conversations annually with business owners and industry contacts with the goal of sourcing 7-10 new deals per year
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of identified markets, including current M&A activity and competitive analysis
  • Building a vast network of contacts within defined markets. The BD Manager develops relationships and maintains all communications with business owners - helping to guide them through the sale process and ensure a smooth transition post-close
  • Serve as a key representative of the company at industry events and form relationships with key contacts throughout the industry
  • Develop, implement, and execute innovative business development strategies to maintain a full pipeline of actionable opportunities

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years of business development/sales experience (Healthcare industry preferred)
  • Experienced in the effective usage of CRM platforms to track activity and prioritize opportunities (Salesforce experience preferred)
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of success in a quota-carrying sales or business development role
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (significant Microsoft Excel experience preferred)
  • Experience in Corporate Development, M&A, and/or financial analysis preferred
  • Up to 50% travel may be required
  • Ideal candidate will be in the Greater Chicago area and have demonstrated experience in Health Care Business Development
