Our consultants have a either an FP&A background, a CPA background or a blend of both. As a DLC Consultant, you will provide solutions across a wide variety of industries, companies, and functional disciplines.
DLC currently serves our clients out of four offices in Chicago, Northern California and Southern California. Our Chicago clients include US Foods, Kraft, Sara Lee, Mondelez International, Exelon, Arthur J. Gallagher, Career Education Corporation, Deutsche Bank, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and a multitude of venture capital firms, hedge funds and private equity firms.
What you will do:
- Key contributor to the monthly general ledger close and reporting process, responsible for the P&L and balance sheets of certain of the company's division, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting areas as assigned
- Prepare schedules used for accounting, management reporting, external reporting, audit, and tax purposes on an ongoing basis
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of Form 10-Q, 10-K filings including the financial statements, footnotes and Management's Discussion & Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of certain accounting areas and analysis supporting the consolidation process
- Ongoing management and accounting of the Company's centralized accounting for leases under ASC 842
- Provide technical accounting research and analysis, as applicable.
- Assist in the implementation of any new applicable pronouncements
- Lead/participate in special projects and accounting transactional items as applicable
- Participate in SOX 404 controls walkthroughs and provide support in SOX testing coordination between process owners, internal auditors and external auditors
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting processes
- Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the completion of their quarterly reviews
What you bring:
- CPA or MBA
- 7+ years professional Accounting and/or Finance experience
- Public accounting and public company mix background preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate data
- Excellent communications & interpersonal skills to work with Executive Management
- Excellent written communication and experience writing technical accounting memo's
- Must have strong analytical skills, be deadline driven and have attention to detail
- Excellent time and self-management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
