Job Title: Advertising Programs Specialist Classification: Non-ExemptDepartment: Advertising Sales Reports to: VP of Business Engagement and AdvertisingGeneral Description / Purpose:The BBB is an Iconic brand that's been a staple in the Chicago community for over 95 years, recognizing trustworthy businesses. Our directory ranks within the top 1% of website traffic in the world and attracts a highly engaged audience looking to work with trusted BBB Accredited Businesses. We are looking for a talented individual to be our next Advertising Programs Specialist (Digital Advertising Sales) to sell advertising in the Chicagoland market. Your primary responsibility is to present the value of the BBB Directory's online visibility programs to our BBB Accredited Businesses. An ideal candidate has strong experience in digital and directory advertising sales and has familiarity in selling SEM products including Google Ad sales. In addition, we are looking for a self-motivated candidate to be a consultant to our Accredited Businesses to help their business grow.A successful candidate brings positive energy to the organization, is passionate about the BBB mission, is results-driven, and is focused on building strong relationships with their clients and colleagues.Duties & Responsibilities: include the following, but are not limited to:Develop full understanding of all advertising programs available to Accredited Businesses via BBB including but not limited to digital, Google, Magazine, and custom advertising solutions.Achieve agreed upon monthly and annual sales targets.Sourcing of leads to find potential new advertisers.Inbound leads from email communication platform and Account Manager referralsWorking from lists provided by Digital Advertising ManagerOutbound warm/cold calling to BBB Accredited Businesses in a vast array of categories of business.Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential advertisers to help meet their advertising goals.Create custom advertising proposals for existing and potential advertisers based on current pricing, packages, and established guidelines.Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.Assist in auditing and development of reporting provided to advertisers.Responsible for all outstanding assigned accounts receivable.Perform online screen-share demos with potential advertisers to showcase array of different advertising solutions.Assist in management of Accredited Businesses general profile updates and retention based services.Qualifications:Must have 2-3 years of sales and relationship management experience.Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.Advertising Agency experience is a plus.Excellent phone and email communication skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast pace environment and multi-task to serve all new advertisers and prospects.Bachelor degree in Business, Communications, Marketing/Advertising and experience in related field preferred.Knowledge of digital marketing strategies.Ability to work in a team environment to achieve companywide goals and objectives.Basic understanding of Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization.Basic understanding of impression based advertising.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.Google AdWords Certification a plus.Salary & Benefits:Salary + commissions = $75K total comp at goal (uncapped commissions)Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceLong and short-term disabilityRetirement plan (401k)Paid time off (including Birthdays and Holidays)Volunteer daysWork remotely (temporarily due to COVID-19)Please visit Bbbchicagocareers.org for more information on working with the BBB!Equal Employment Opportunity:The BBB is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of a person's race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status or any other category protected by law.
