Human Resources - Sr HR Business Partner
At USA TODAY NETWORK , we are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join the team as a HR Business Partne r will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position provides comprehensive Human Resource support to a business unit that may include employee relations, performance management, orientations, and training. Position reports to the Regional HR Manager.
Sr Human Resources Business Partner (Remote)

We are currently hiring a Remote Senior HR Business Partner.
Our Sr HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing solutions and advocacy to employees, managers, and senior leaders. We are looking for a passionate HR leader to execute and deliver key HR programs, practices and policies to the business, managers, and employees! HRBPs also provide strategic consultation and coaching to our leaders on organizational issues that contribute to growth of the business and the team. We need a leader who will serve as a key resource for employees through sensing, listening, providing mentorship and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR channels. We are searching for an HR professional who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced organization and can demonstrate strong executive communication and presentation skills to communicate across all levels of the organization.
A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the pulse of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
Ability to create and drive effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs
Advise management with respect to employee relations and performance management issues, with an emphasis on early identification and resolution
Facilitating leadership development and key talent retention efforts (e.g. coaching/counseling, employee recognition, talent talks)
Assist in developing solutions through organizational development (e.g. restructuring, roles and responsibility clarification, workforce planning)
Be an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
The ability to think big but also not be afraid to roll up your sleeves'
Collaborate with HR and functional teams in the development of process improvement opportunities that may be scaled across the locations as well as the company
Ensure 2-way communication across HR and functional teams to support the location(s)
Strong internal and external customer service focus
Experience with rapid and complex changing work environments
Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Work with cross-functional teams to solve people-related business problems
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding employment wage and hours, OSHA and related laws
Proactively anticipate and address issues
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Business, HR, Behavioral Sciences, related field or equivalent
5+ years of experience across HRBP and HR Specialist areas
2 additional years of experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
A working knowledge of employment laws and multi-faceted experience
Human resources experience, with employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and recruiting
Demonstrable experience developing partnerships with business leaders, particularly in helping them manage significant organizational change during periods of realignment and growth
Available to travel if needed (10%)
Preferred
Human Resources Professional Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM)
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
Experience leading or partnering with Org Design/Org Effectiveness, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Recruiting, and Total Rewards
Proven experience setting and leading complex organizational effectiveness and design initiatives, as well as multi-year talent strategies
Demonstrable experience setting and leading organizational efficiency and design initiatives, as well as multi-year talent strategies
Well-developed industry knowledge, market insight, and proven enterprise thinking
