Position Summary
To succeed in a competitive environment, colleges and universities must improve the student experience. Huron supports institutions with coordinated, scalable, strategic, student-centric approaches. We partner with clients to bring their student vision to life, using modern technologies that support effective recruitment and financial aid strategies, enrolled student experience tracking, referral integration and support interventions, and university advancement strategies. Improving the student experience requires a holistic approach, including the effective implementation and adoption of a unified cloud-based technology system. Huron's comprehensive planning, implementation and post-production support services help institutions create a more seamless, personalized student experience.
Associates in the Student Lifecycle Solutions practice assist clients with the planning and implementation of Workday Student software. In this role, Associates will work under a project manager in conjunction with other Huron and client team members throughout the entire Workday implementation lifecycle, including planning, configuration, design, build, conversion, training, go-live and post-production support.
* Demonstrates proficiency in the following:
* System design and configuration
* Identification of business process modifications
* Design document creation
* Test script identification/execution
* End-user training development and execution
* Change management design and execution
* Prepares and delivers presentations to clients
* Develops work plans
* Completes complex system-related analyses
* Writes basic reports with minimal supervision
* Provides support in the presentation of recommendations and deliverables
* Suggests approaches and solutions for solving problems that arise within the engagement
* Contributes to firm strategy through participation in numerous internal work groups and committees
Qualifications
Required
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or commensurate work experience
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in consulting, finance, higher education, and/or accounting
* Previous experience implementing Student Information Systems like Workday, Banner, Peoplesoft Campus Solutions, or Oracle
* Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Functional expertise in student admissions and recruiting systems, regulations and processes; understanding of higher ed recruiting and admissions requirements across various types of institutions
* Current Workday Student certification
* Demonstrated knowledge in academic structure, organizational assessment, and strategic planning.
* Exceptional advanced Excel skills (including modeling and macros)
* An MBA or other relevant advanced degree
* Expertise in the HR and/or Financials function, processes and best practices
* Experience as a functional application specialist
* Excellent communication skills - oral and written - and the interpersonal skills needed quickly to establish relationships of trust and collaboration
* The ability to establish credibility in the eyes of senior-level university executives on the basis of expertise, maturity, and professionalism
* The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project-management and technical dimensions
* Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
* The ability to manage multiple projects of differing scale and duration
* Strong analytical skills used to translate information from meetings into documentation that can be shared with meeting participants and project teams
* A desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies
