The GPS Adsorbents Business Development Leader is accountable for growing UOP's global adsorbents business and reports to the Business Director of GPS. The Business Development Leader will develop new adsorbent business offerings and models to expand the business into new verticals growing faster than market rates.
The GPS Adsorbents Business Development Leader is responsible for developing and implementing a business strategy (STRAP) to grow the business greater than market rates by leveraging product technology, new product development, open innovation, voice of customer, current product portfolio, manufacturing assets and equipment engineering capability. The Business Leader works closely with the R&D, ISC, Sales, Engineering and Service organizations supporting to ensure that the product line objectives are meet. Additionally, the Business Development Leader will have responsibility for leading and executing the daily commercial operations of the business in line with the annual operating plan (AOP). Both will be accomplished via support from cross functional teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the product line with full P&L responsibility for a business with a revenue of ~ $100M per year.
* Development and execution of the STRAP and AOP for the business. Exceed all sales, profit, ROI and working capital objectives.
* Drive development of strategic plans; identify, evaluate and close on strategic opportunities across the business.
* Drive operations and functions to ensure business needs are adequately supported and goals are met.
* Drive business objectives through effective cross-functional and regional relationship building.
* Establish strong understanding of market dynamics, competitors, and customer requirements.
* Communicate, evaluate and execute on strategic options for the business.
* Improve people capabilities, communicate and motivate employee base.
* It is expected that the candidate in this position may travel globally up to 25% of the time.
YOU MUST HAVE
* Bachelor's degree in an analytical (e.g. economics, math, engineering, etc…) or technical discipline
* 4+ years of success marketing, strategic planning and product management
