Position Summary:

This position is responsible for various human resources responsibilities within MKD Electric, primarily in the areas of benefits administration, employee engagement, onboarding, performance management, and policy development.

Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee onboarding process for newly hired team members. Create onboarding plans, and educate new hires on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.

• Benefits administration, including billing, enrollment, changes, and communications.

• Audit HR laws to current policies and procedures. Policy development and documentation. Draft electronic templates for new hire documents.

• Create employee engagement plans. Obtain necessary budget approvals and initiating activities.

• Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records.

• Assist in the administration of the employee performance database.

• Conduct candidate background verifications.

• Collaborate with other members of the Human Resources department, employees, management, new hires, and outside vendors.

Position Qualifications:

• Certificate or related degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of human resources experience required.

• SHRM certification(s) preferred.

• Knowledge of state/federal employment laws.

• Computer proficiency in MS Office. HRIS experience preferred.

• Able to prioritize and remain organized with several competing priorities and deadlines.

• Excellent customer service skills and organizational/time management skills.
