We are hiring for a Maintenance Manager to help us in our Saint Charles IL location.
Preventive Maintenance Services
- Prepares and implements the Total Productive Maintenance plan
Equipment Maintenance Services
- Co-ordinates and/or personally conduct ongoing repairs on equipment
- Handles emergency breakdowns
Facility Maintenance & Security Services
- Ensures building is operational and compliant with EHS requirements
- Co-ordinates cleaning services
- Liaises and co-ordinates with external contractors and suppliers
- Manages and ensures security of all TDU facilities
Co-ordination of Emergency Services
- Acts as first responder in building emergency situations
- Liaises and co-ordinates with external emergency services (fire, security services, etc.)
Support Services to NA Plants
- Manages spare parts inventory
- Assists with set up and implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program
- Assists with trouble shooting of malfunctioning equipment
- Assists in implementation of SAP maintenance module
- Assists in developing and implementing standard operating procedures
Health & Safety Management Services
- Participates in health & safety committee meetings on a consulting basis
- Participates in accident investigations
- Ensures maintenance operations meets EH&S requirements
Customer Experience
- Ensure employees have clarity of customer expectation as it relates to maintenance
- Ensures development and implementation of activities to support a positive customer experience as it relates to maintenance issues
- Ensure efficiency of maintenance process flow and co-ordination between teams and develop procedures as required
People Leadership
- Conducts interviews for new employees
- Co-ordinates onboarding
- Provides ongoing learning & development opportunities for team
- Personally coaches team
- Manages performance of team
- Provides recognition
- Provides timely communication
- Provides employee relations services
- Implements human resource requirements
- Conducts regular staff meetings
- Ensures a healthy & Safe work environment
Administrative Services
- Provides administrative reporting and documentation
- Conducts inventory of Assets & Spares
- Participation in the development of the maintenance budget
- Oversees the maintenance budget
Other / additional responsibilities
- Participate in department meetings
- Follow and Live Liberating Organism (LO) strategies and principles.
- Interact with co-workers, peers and supervisor in a constructive, productive and cooperative manner to meet production needs
- Driving Full Responsibility and Advice Process throughout the organization
- Regular, predictable, on-site attendance is an essential function of the job
- Follow the requirements for ISO 14001 and 9001 systems
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Technical degree in related field
- Additional coursework in regulatory requirements
- Licensed/Competent in HVAC, electrical, plumbing as asset
Job Experience
- 10+ years of overall Manufacturing-related experience
- 5+ years of Supervisor or higher experience
- Multi-cultural experience an asset
IT skills/software
- Microsoft office
- Working with SAP an asset
Methodological skills
- Mechanical skills
- Skilled in preventive maintenance processes
- General Equipment knowledge (working with extruders, mills, mixers is an asset)
- Human Resource management knowledge and skills
- Electrical, plumbing, PLC's and HVAC specialist skills an asset
- Facility management an asset
- Lean manufacturing knowledge an asset
- ISO quality system an asset
- OSHA knowledge an asset
