Job description

A day in the life, you can expect to:

  • Support employees and DC managers with questions/situations regarding Human Resources policies, practices, tools, and processes.

  • Manage an efficient and effective full-cycle recruiting process on warehouse & delivery positions, including consulting with DC Managers on position needs to create recruiting strategies, effective job postings, phone screens, selection and offer process.

  • Work with corporate recruiters to ensure efficient staffing of open DC positions.

  • Facilitate new-employee orientation and ensure appropriate onboarding process of new employees.

  • Assist with the coordination of staffing agency needs.

  • Assist with safety training, and manage the documentation process for safety training records.

  • Provide high-level employee relations support to onsite employees. Escalate issues to the appropriate person as need.

  • Respond to preliminary questions regarding recruiting and staffing processes, employee information (benefits/payroll).

  • Provide support on HR policies and practices for state and federal employment laws, and company HR standard operating procedures.

  • Promotes diversity and inclusion, and an equitable work environment for all.

  • Assist with other duties/projects as needed.


Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • 1-3 years Human Resource Generalist experience with strong recruiting experience required.

  • High-volume recruiting experiencestrongly preferred.

  • Ability to work on-site at the FMP Distribution Center.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Business or related field.

  • Broad HR/Payroll/Benefits knowledge, as pertains to the company

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), (UKG) Ultipro.

  • Ability to build relationships and work across functions and various levels of the organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail
