Acquisition Analyst I

Full time: Non-Exempt; Hours per week 37.50 hours/week; overtime as required

General Description:

Responsible for bringing all loans in from new and existing clients.

Responsibilities - Include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively communicate organizational standards and procedures to clients by demonstrating knowledge of applicable functions and recognizing differences in servicing processes.
  • Accurately read mortgage documents and reports to confirm data converts correctly into MSP (Black Knight).
  • Review screen prints, client reports, conversion output, and data files for each event, advising project managers, data mappers, and/or client of data clean-up, verification or mapping errors; covert files to Excel to manipulate data for review.
  • Assist Servicing Operations with review of client data files/reports, questionnaire, and analytical findings in preparation for due diligence and data mapping.
  • Work with Customer Service to establish client-specific procedures.
  • Handle higher volume and more complex cases with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure completion of all tasks in accordance with the Project Plan, updating the Plan with tasks, completion dates, etc.
  • Actively participate in meetings to provide status reports and identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Monitor and stay current in mortgage servicing matters as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  • Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members.
  • Maintain high levels of cooperation and rapport with team members to promote accurate and efficient operations and service.
  • Formulate and communicate suggestions that may improve profitability and/or productivity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to travel 15-20% of the time at a national level. This may be less
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years' experience in the mortgage industry.
  • 3 years' BKFS MSP user experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (including advanced Excel experience) and loan servicing platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact in a positive and professional manner at all times with all levels of both internal and external audiences

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The employee is regularly required to communicate (give/receive information) through multiple methods of communication. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk (or otherwise move through the organization); sit; use hands to type, write, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; or lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. The noise level is usually moderate and typical of an office environment. The employee may be required to use a variety of standard office equipment, including computer keyboards and monitors, phones, printers, etc.
