Your Impact: The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for building and maintaining reports that directly track company key performance indicators and customer facing reports that allow customers to obtain information directly pertaining to their accounts. The Business Intelligence Analyst will own and maintain all analytic data models and reports, including ad-hoc, regulatory and compliance reports. This role will analyze data sets, make insightful recommendations, and communicate strategic ideas to inform key decision makers about customer needs and where to invest future efforts, using data-driven insights to fuel strategic growth.
You're Accountable For:
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and delivering reports at executive, department, and customer level.
- Key contributor to the data planning, consolidation, and reporting processes.
- Responsible for delivering new, re-usable business intelligence solutions and demonstrating value proposition to business stakeholders
- Advocate for improvements to data quality and performance
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams, internal employees, and external partners (wholesalers, manufacturers, other commercial partners)
- Serve as a liaison to IT for data needs/inquiries/requests/solutions along with any enhancements or updates that affect existing systems.
- Collaborate with architecture team to design and optimize our cloud-based data warehouse architecture
- Ensure business recommendations are based on accurate data and thorough analyses by rigorously stress testing data and assumptions
- Deliver ad-hoc reports requested by business leadership team
Successful Pharmers Have:
- Minimum of 5 years in a Business Intelligence role
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or similar preferred
- Experience with Snowflake serving as the Data Warehouse production platform
- Experience with Tableau as a data visualization tool
- Experience using SQL, writing complex queries and/or stored procedures
- Must have a solid understanding of data warehouse architecture and best practices
- Significant experience developing and delivering data solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and organizational levels
- Passion for solving problems using data and analytics
Our Next Pharmer Needs to Have:
- Masters in Business Administration is preferred
- Experience with other data visualization tools like PowerBI, Looker, Periscope
- Experience in, or interest in learning:
- Design data models within data warehouse (Snowflake) based on reporting, analytics, and data science requirements
- Manage data architecture and catalog for Snowflake
- Review data load processes, which include the use of a third-party ELT tool (Stitch)
- Analyze loads and performance, and suggest solutions to bottlenecks
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to ensure reliable business reporting
- Experience with reading and understanding various coding languages
