Position Overview:
Navistar has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director on our People & Culture (HR) team. The Associate Director of Human Resources' primary responsibility will be toprovide consultative support to our Legal, IT and Finance Teams to achieve business objectives in the areas of strategic human capital and talent imperatives, while leveraging resources in the People and Culture (HR) COEs and Operations as required.
The individual will manage relationships with the assigned Business Unit Leaders and their direct reports, to ensure Business Unit's specific needs are understood and proactively offer support within an agreed scope of HR services.
This visible role will reportdirectly tothe EVP,ChiefPeople & CultureOfficer.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Partner with managers to provide strategic advice and counsel in addressing employee and organizational strategies
- Participate as a leader on the People & Culture team in planning and evaluating our talent and People & Culture activities
- Counsel HR Managers concerning human resource policies and procedures
- Developing specific workforce strategies for business function through the application of analysis of labor market and data trend
- Assessing current organizational effectiveness and health of business function
- Assessing existing organization structures and developing new designs as needed
- Planning for and facilitating periodic talent review and succession planning sessions
- Assisting business or functional leaders in assessing the respective management team to identify high potentials or individuals with specific development
- Coach executives on inclusive leadership practices and how to build a diverse and inclusive organization
Bachelor's degree
At least 12 years of HR or Organizational Development experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience
OR
- Master's degree
- At least 8 years of HR or Organizational Development experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience
OR
- At least 14 years of HR or Organizational Development experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
