Entry level/Intern Associate Quality Control Analyst
South of Peoria area
3 month contract
1st shift 7 am to 330 - can work part time hours based on school schedule
Pay rate: $18/hr
Kelly is hiring an Associate Quality Control Analyst to coordinate and support the accurate and timely testing of polyol products to meet the needs of internal and external customers for data and information on process & product quality.
As an Associate Quality Control Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform analytical tests independently and accurately as written in test procedures. Prioritize testing based on business needs and departmental goals.
- Test samples are to be gathered and tested within expected time frame and stored as required.
- Perform specialized testing in support of internal and external customers and departmental projects.
- Maintain complete, accurate and legible test records, in accordance with Company policy and record keeping procedure. Review data for accuracy and trends and communicate any concerns to laboratory manager.
- Participate in Out of Specification laboratory investigations.
- Prepare and calibrate reagents; ensure that necessary laboratory supplies and equipment are available.
- Follow all safety and quality guidelines according to Good Laboratory Practices and lab safety requirements.
- Keep work area clean and maintain a safe work environment.
- Work with operations and quality assurance to understand current demands on laboratory services.
- Ensure that non-routine testing is performed in an appropriate manner.
- Implement any corrective actions agreed upon by laboratory management as a result of laboratory investigations or proficiency testing and monitor their effectiveness.
- Perform other work as assigned by laboratory management.
- Work with Operations to identify, investigate, and resolve process discrepancies.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Be in process with a bachelor's degree in chemistry or food science or related field.
- Possess good working knowledge of laboratory practices.
- Strong oral, written, and computational skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse, team environment.
- Ability to rapidly learn new skills, and expand expertise into other areas of science.
- Must demonstrate the following characteristics: high energy, innovative, organized, handles multiple tasks, and positive attitude.
