Job description

Innovative Staff Solutions has an opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist with a leading employer in Mattoon, IL. This is a permanent, direct hire position with a competitive salary and benefits offering! As a member of the Human Resource team, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administration, support, and continuous improvement (cost and efficiency)initiatives and activities related to our human resources system compensation policies, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for support and administration related to compensation cycles; day to day functions, planning, maintaining salary structures, administration, participation in compensation surveys and projects
  • Develops a thorough understanding of HRdata structures, metrics, processes and tools
  • Creates and customizes human resources metrics, trends, statistical data, analytics, summaries, graphical representation, and special reports as required utilizing HRIS systems, Excel and other applications to manipulate, analyze and logically present data to various audiences
  • Leads administration of retirement plans
  • Identifies HR (Human Resources) needs and the HRIS reports to fulfill these needs
  • Partners across department lines with IS, Payroll and other areas to ensure company success and employee satisfaction
  • Coordinate benefits program and assist Team Members with questions concerning company benefits
  • Aid Team Members, Team Leaders and Group Leaders in solving work-related problems regarding benefits and compensation employee issues or compliance

Requirements
  • Proficient personal computer and HRIS system software skills
  • Leadership (team development, ability to influence, organizational awareness)
  • Interpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, conflict resolution, customer orientation)
  • Communication (verbal communication, listening, written communication)
  • Judgment and thinking (strategic thinking, original thinking, judgment, and decision making, problem solving, awareness)
  • Performance skills (accuracy with details, planning and organizing, efficiency)
  • Personal characteristics (motivation/commitment, flexibility, assertiveness)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Management or Human Resources preferred
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in human resources or professional office experience
  • Education may be considered in leu of experience
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required
