This is what you'll do:
* Responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day administration of our Workers Compensation (Workers Comp) program
* Process claims for work related events and manage employee communications
* Manage employees through entirety of the process and maintain key levels of transparency & empathy through processes
* Monitor and manage timely internal notifications of reporting and investigation of claims
* Serve as a liaison between EHS, Benefits, and People Partner Teams
* Manage vendor relationships with external partners in Workers Comp and Occupational Health
* Monitor and maintain records for lost workdays and/or modified duty and return to work initiatives
* Ensure OSHA recordkeeping are compliant
* Oversee each accommodation request and work with internal stakeholders to construct work restrictions
* Create and maintain claims case database
* Work with medical and ergonomics to obtain work demand analysis for any applicable case
* Create and manage work-related light duty and return to work programs
* Ensure Supervisors/People Partner/EHS partner have accurate and up to date work status for all employees impacted by work related injury/illness
* Be the point of contact for settlement and legal forms
This is what you'll need:
* 4+ years of experience in Workers Compensation administration in a manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of Illinois employment laws
* Experience administering US Workers Compensation and leave programs preferred
* Proficient PC skills including proficient at an intermediate to advance level in Excel, Word and Outlook, with high attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communications skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively across and at all levels of the organization
* Workday experience preferred
