Position and Responsibilities
As a Senior HR Generalist with Middough, you will coordinate and collaborate on talent acquisition and human resources efforts within Middough's professional environment and as part of the corporate HR team. The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for full cycle recruiting, building a talent network, employee on-boarding, HR administration, basic employee relations, various human resources assignments, and employee HR support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Source and attract candidates using multiple social media platforms, third party recruiting platforms and other best practices to build a robust candidate talent pool.
- Conduct and manage candidate interviews, interview schedules, candidate evaluations and debrief sessions.
- Maintain the Middough recruiting tracker in collaboration with the recruiting team and take ownership of recruiting action items.
- Stay abreast of and collaborate in the implementation of recruiting trends, speed to hire initiatives, technologies, and best practices.
- Prepare and deliver high quality and timely candidate employment offers in collaboration with the HR team.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships and career fairs with colleges, universities, and community college placement offices to enhance the Middough talent pool; schedule and attend interviews and be engaged in activities.
- Collaborate with the HR team to enhance the candidate onboarding and orientation experience and programs.
- Partner with HR Director and Manager on exit interviews.
- In collaboration with the HR Director and Manager, assist managers with employee relations matters, Middough policies, and legal compliance based on Middough practices and applicable federal and state regulations.
- With the HR team, coordinate new hire and random background screening and drug testing program(s) based on client-specific requirements and/or third-party consortiums as assigned.
- Advocate for, support and motivate a positive culture and employee morale through company-wide relationship building and team collaboration.
- As part of the corporate HR team, collaborate with all corporate functions and business units on joint HR and business initiatives.
- Assist with personnel file maintenance according to legal requirements and Middough guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field.
- SHRM's CP, SCP and/or Talent Acquisition Specialty credential(s) a plus.
- 3-5 years of hands-on professional and/or technical full cycle recruiting experience is required.
- 2-4 years of hands-on human resources experience to include employee relations skills, HR administration, basic benefit knowledge, and HRIS system knowledge is required.
- Recruiting experience in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction consulting arenas highly preferred.
- Understanding of full cycle recruiting methods and best practices, Applicant Tracking Systems, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Highly effective and engaging verbal and written communication skills both with employees and managers at all levels in the organization while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- High degree of integrity in adhering to corporate policy and within all HR activities.
- Strong ability to take initiative, work independently, be self-motivated, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills to include MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
