Job Description
Position Summary: This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and work with manufacturing engineers as well as operations staff. The internship projects/tasks will be critical to the support of the manufacturing and processing of screws and fasteners in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Core Responsibilities: Support new product & process implementationSupport process improvement & troubleshootingSupport ITW Safety Program initiativePerform CAD designs & design modifications Expected Learnings: Learn about the overall manufacturing processes & daily operation of a manufacturing facilityLearn about the process new product implementation & debuggingLearn about equipment work instruction research, writing, & trainingLearn to collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, quality, & marketing departments Job Requirements: 2D & 3D CAD skills preferred, good communication skills, inquisitive nature, and an interest in being "hands on". Mechanical Engineering coursework. Rising Senior is preferred. Material Science & PLC Programming coursework is a plus. Work Environment: This role is in a professional environment with a 50/50 split between manufacturing plant floor and office desk. The individual will work with operators, maintenance, supervisors, and engineers to learn and research the process issues and solutions. This collaborative environment has many positive, good natured team members that are eager to work with and train others. The intern projects at CCNA are typically a part of the company's key initiatives with a good deal of notoriety, publicity, and impact to the overall company. Interns are respected contributors and are given the opportunity to better themselves and the company. Physical Demands: Physical demands are minimal beyond the ability to spend time on your feet on a plant floor, as well as being able to occasionally lift 25lbs.
