Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Establishes deep understanding of market, segment and customer insights built on fact-based analyses and business experience to support business growth and decisions.
- Leads development and execution of quantitative and qualitative market research and customer surveys.
- Leads insights activities include market sizing, trend analysis, primary and secondary market research, customer profiles or segmentation, competitive intelligence, launch tracking, and scenario analysis.
- Distills insights for marketing and product management programs.
- Owns business analytics, such as sales lead pipeline (CRM), channel productivity, market penetration, market share / growth, etc.
- Develops and implements regular, effective customer satisfaction and NPS programs to measure and track the customer experience over time.
- Establishes robust competitive intelligence program to analyze and track competitors.
- Drives market research, VOC, product / concept testing and launch tracking methodologies for new product development to ensure successful evaluation and launch of new product ideas.
- Measure the effectiveness of advertising, marketing and communications strategies to support ongoing product line performance and KPIs.
- Effectively communicates market insights findings, makes recommendations, and drives market research to meaningful business results with internal stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains insights and analytics best practices and shares best practices across the organization.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a field linked to Market Analysis, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Operations Research or related analytical or technical discipline
- MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
Experience/abilities:
- 5-10 years of marketing, market research, market analysis and/or consulting experience.
- B2B marketing experience in industrial distribution
- Experience managing market research projects and vendors.
- Knowledge of analytic tools and processes to evaluate product portfolios from economic, financial, and market trend perspectives. Deep expertise with customer survey techniques such as Conjoint Analysis, NPS, and Voice of the Customer (VoC).
- Experience developing, overseeing and presenting results from market research projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Should have hands on experience in analytics delivery.
Preferred:
- 5 years of experience in industrial businesses (e.g., manufacturing, packaging, and transportation/logistics) Strong preference for experience in automation solutions.
