Job description

We are Clarke, a privately-held public health, global environmental products and services company.

We are seeking an Associate Analytical Chemist for our Schaumburg facility that will work alongside the Analytical Chemist to assist with the daily operation of our QA Analytical Laboratory. This person will be responsible for planning and execution of sample analysis, recording and analysis of analytical results, preparation of reports, assist with development of analytical methods, maintenance of analytical standards and retention sample libraries, update and review Standard Operating Procedures and test methods.

WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY

This position earns a competitive wage and generally can work Monday-Friday, between the hours of 12 PM - 8 PM (variable schedule throughout week). Training may occur for a few weeks during the hours of 9AM - 5 PM. This position is temporary with the potential to converting to full time with Clarke in 2022.

What your new job will entail:

  • QC Analytical Analysis of raw materials and finished products
  • Maintaining Laboratory Compliance to ISO9001:2015 & ISO17025:2017
  • Assist with Analytical Method Development
  • Analytical Chemist Support
  • Laboratory Operation and Maintenance

What you'll already have mastered...
  • B.S. in Chemistry and 2+ year experience in analytical chemistry or 4+ years experience working in analytical chemistry lab.
  • Experience with HPLC techniques (using Empower Software), wet and dry sample preparation techniques, and a working knowledge of general laboratory safety procedures.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.
  • The desire to learn and go "above and beyond"!
