Job description

We have an opening for a Product Photographer in our Marketing Department. Our band and orchestra photo studio, distribution center, and manufacturing facility are in Elkhart, Indiana. While photo editing has flexibility to work remotely, the capturing of product photography standards is based out of our distribution facility in Elkhart. The Product Photographer reports to Director of Marketing Operations.

The band and orchestra Product Photographer is responsible for capturing musical instrument product photography on a white background. Each instrument and all accompanying accessories are captured from multiple angles, pathed, post-edited, and provided to the marketing department in a timely and organized method for public, print, and digital marketing use.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Familiarity with photography details including use of a camera and studio lighting
• Ability to properly set-up, clean, and tear down musical instruments to maintain an organized and efficient work environment
• Consistently and accurately execute uniformity across multiple models of the same product (angle, lighting, clarity of image, color)
• A mid to high level proficiency of Adobe software and post-editing capability in Photoshop
• Adhere to Conn-Selmer's Product Photography Standards and maintain a passion to accurately represent our product portfolio in the marketplace.
• Maintain and manage all product photography images both externally on a Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform and internally on the company's server.
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Background in photography and photo editing
• Ability to read, follow directions, and good communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Maintain a proper file naming, structure, and organization for all photos
• Self-motivated and able to drive collaborative success with limited guidance
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Self-motivated, energetic, and detail orientated about photography
• Some musical familiarity with instruments is a plus
• Maintain regular attendance
• Ability to perform continuous walking for extended periods of time on concrete
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Requires frequent bending, reaching, lifting, repetitive motions, twisting, stooping, turning, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, and visual acuity
• Work is performed in doors
