Job description

Our company is looking for a part-time secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the duty of clerical and administrative support in order to maintain an optimized workflow in the office. The key to success in this position requires organization, efficiency, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

Required Skills:

  • Associate's Degree in secretarial related field or 5+ years' clerical experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent multi-talking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Able to work independently in a team setting
  • Friendly and professional demeanor

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Answer and transfer phone calls
  • Greet visitors and family members
  • Respond to queries in person, via telephone, and/or e-mail.
  • Data entry
  • Perform administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and scanning
  • Compose letters and e-mails
  • File Death Certificates and follow-up with certifying doctors
  • Serve as a supportive role to the funeral directors during family meetings

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: One location
