Job description
Who You Are
You have an analytical mind, unbelievable organizational skills, wit and can think on your feet. You make lists to keep you organized and on track on what you need to accomplish. In fact, if you accomplish something not on the list, you put it on the list and then cross it out (okay, maybe you don't go that far, but it is okay if you do). You like working on a team and independently at the same time. You treat co-workers as clients, recognizing the legal team serves the needs of the business, including providing guidance, support, and solutions on targeted legal and compliance issues.
Who We Are
Ash Brokerage is an insurance brokerage general agency (BGA). We're one of the largest privately owned BGAs in the country. If you're in the business, then you know how a BGA works. If you're not, here goes: A BGA works with financial professionals who sell insurance, such as independent agents, financial planners or investment advisors. Those advisors come to us with information about their clients, then we check out multiple insurance companies and product options to help find solutions to fit their needs. Sometimes those needs are fulfilled by our subsidiary broker-dealer (more on that later).
That's what we do in a nutshell … but, there's so much more!
Yes, we're in the insurance business, but we're out to change the perception of what our industry does. Really, we're less of a sales organization and more a partner to provide peace of mind. On the Legal and Compliance Team, we're proud to play a vital part in developing and maintaining the legal and compliance infrastructure, so that our companies and teams are set up to do what they do legally and compliantly. We take our responsibility to heart, knowing everything we do helps protect the lives of others. No matter the case, we're always looking for ways to make life (insurance) easier for everyone involved.
