We are looking for aspiring Lab Technicians to learn and perform a variety of laboratory procedures testing industrial fluids such as fuel, oil, and grease. You will be handling laboratory equipment to analyze various samples, as well as record and report the findings to the Laboratory Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in either a professional or educational lab setting. They should have proper knowledge of "GLP" to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that makes things move forward. The goal is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to make a difference.

Tribologik Laboratories is an ISO 17025:2017 accredited lubricant and fuel analysis laboratory providing oil and fuel testing services to industrial, transport, military and natural resources organizations worldwide. Tribologik has of 35 years of experience in laboratory testing, operation and management both in the USA and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze laboratory samples of fuel, oil, and other industrial fluids.
  • Execute laboratory testing according to Tribologik standard procedures, while recording and reporting sample results.
  • Record all data and results (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
  • Maintain equipment in accordance with Tribologik procedures and Laboratory manager guidance.
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment

You might be a great fit if

  • You have educational or professional experience as Lab Technician or other relevant positions
  • Desire to learn about and perform various testing procedures on laboratory equipment with potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, caustic liquids, etc)
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25lbs
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems
  • Ability to work autonomously at the direction of the Laboratory Manger
  • Degree in biology, chemistry (or other relevant field) or previous equivalent job experience

Other Considerations

  • Experience with modern analytical methods (ASTM), ISO operation procedures, and/or experience with laboratory instruments such as ICP spectroscopy, is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
