Position Summary:

Position will support and collaborate with HR Manager as well as key business partners and assist in the interpretation and administration of HR policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage HR processes for assigned client groups.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees from an HR perspective.
  • Manage input of data into HR system
  • Provide end users with reports and metrics as requested.
  • Manage unemployment claims, FMLA and ADA leaves.
  • Consult with leadership on various employee relations issues pertaining to performance, conduct, compensation, staffing, etc.
  • Support client groups in workforce planning and recruitment.
  • Attend appropriate staff meetings and other departmental meetings as a member of the client group leadership team.

Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices and systems

  • Working knowledge of benefits, compensation, staffing process, and employment law
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with HR systems critical
  • Experience with FMLA and ADA.
  • Experience with unemployment very helpful
  • Strong emotional intelligence

Experience:

2+ years of experience in human resources.

  • Co-op, internship, or fellowship experience acceptable.
  • Experience with SAP, a plus

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related discipline

  • Human Resources or Business preferred
