About the Indiana State Personnel Department (INSPD):

As an agency operating a shared services model, we provide the executive branch of state government with top-notch HR services. About the Job:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist works within the Indiana State Personnel Department (INSPD) and works collaboratively to coordinate and administer recruitment activities to support state agencies in shared services HR model. This position provides day-to-day assistance to the division in coordinating and administering transactional recruitment-related activities for the Indiana State Personnel Department and its centralized state agencies.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

* Assists Talent Acquisition Consultants on external sourcing for positions;
* Creation of email and phone screens and responsible for sending email and phone screens out to selected applicant's online screening and evaluation of applications as needed;
* Serves as a technical consultant answering questions related to SuccessFactors Recruiting;
* Coordinates and assists with scheduling telephone interviews and interview panels with agencies as needed;
* Serves as a primary point of contact for SuccessFactors testing issues, changes, and troubleshooting including but not limited to requisitions stuck in the hiring process and HCI report;
* Coordinates job fairs, community events and professional invitations for attendance by Talent Acquisition Division staff members;
* Serves as the primary point of contact for questions related to employment within Indiana State Government, including but not limited to webmail inquires, telephone/voicemail inquiries, social networking inquiries, and walk-ins;
* Maintains background check email account and verifies accurate monthly background check invoices;
* Ensures Talent Acquisition content is gathered from Talent Acquisition Consultants for the Talent Management newsletter;
* Produces weekly announcements for currently vacant and posted INSPD positions.

What You'll Need for Success:

* Associate Degree and/or at least two years' experience in related field;
* Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations;
* Knowledge of State Personnel policies and procedures;
* SuccessFactors knowledge and ability to process applicants through SuccessFactors' recruiting module;
* Strong customer service skills;
* Ability to become proficient in the use of sourcing tools and techniques;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to effectively prioritize a variety of projects/functions;
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management;
* Ability to maintain confidentiality;
* Ability to successfully negotiate resolutions to complex problems or situations;
* Ability to work independently;
* Ability to develop, implement, coordinate and present training programs (including the assessment of training needs and development of curriculum);
* Ability to organize thoughts and ideas in a logical manner;
* Ability to plan and organize the work of other employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
