Job Title: Manager, Family Support Services
Status: Fulltime Exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview
The purpose of the Family Service Coordinator (F.S.C.) is to maintain relationships with partner families from the applications process to the house closing. The S.S.C. will help families navigate the Habitat services, training and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with all current partner families in the program
- Process background credit checks for partner families
- Support and encourage partner families to work through challenges and help identify resources to succeed
- Manage, develop and grow Family Support Committee of volunteers; train financial coaches; maintain contact with partner families as they participate
- Communicate and plan with families to ensure completion of sweat equity hours requirement each month
- Supervise families during sweat equity hours completion
- Track monthly partner family progress on program requirements, including completion of sweat equity hours and earnest money payments, as well as schedule families to clean the offices
- Facilitate and develop monthly home ownership education classes for partner families
- Facilitate and develop financial literacy course for partner families
- Maintain family information bulletin board in main office
- Coordinate with the Development Team, celebration ceremonies at beginning and end of each house build
- Receive and evaluate applications to the program; communicate with applicants regarding status of application
- Meet with potential partner families and hold an informational night as needed
- Complete a monthly report to the Executive Director regarding family selection
- Assist volunteers in participating counties with family selection and applications
- Supervise volunteers in distributing literature in the community
- Contribute to the Habitat Lafayette newsletter as needed
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and other communication from partner families including outside parties
- Contact local financial institutions, local school counselors regarding referring potential families
- Represent Habitat at local events as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of fair lending practices; maintain Loan Originator certification
Skills & Qualifications
***Passion for Christian-based ministry and servant leadership
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks
Ability to work with and instruct diverse groups of people
Basic computer skills
Ability to sit in an office setting and complete computer work
Willingness to work evening hours (after 5pm) occasionally
General understanding of mortgage process

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
