Job description
Business Analyst Overview of PositionThe Business Analyst provides implementation and long-term operational support for cloud-based software implementations of value-based payment products for the Healthcare Payor industry. Business process documentation, system configuration, and training/education are among some of the key responsibilities in this role. The Business Analyst will also work closely with the product team to serve as voice of Customer for product enhancement requests.
Additionally, this person may be responsible for supporting the project manager by providing input into or developing content for status reporting, project plans, and other project management artifacts as needed.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
+ Support the implementation and/or provide post implementation support of multiple projects by working with a diverse, cross-functional team including analytics, data operations, and dev ops staff
+ Prepare Customer's environment with needed configuration in alignment with customer's requirements
+ Gather key details of Customer's business process and assists in helping customer understand how use of the software is best achieved to meet the business process requirements
+ Write clear, concise, and detailed documentation. Own and manage several project artifacts critical to the Customer's use of the product and its application to their business process
+ May support the product development team in creating, reviewing and/or validating test plans or approaches, ensuring that appropriate feedback and guidance is provided
+ Support User Acceptance Testing in Customer environment and partners with analytics and data operations staff to develop impact analysis documentation for product releases
+ Collaborate with internal product team on details of technical solutions to validate that stakeholder business needs are met. Serves as a key resource by providing input into the development of new features/releases
+ Manage all Customer work requests in collaboration with project manager. Use ticketing system to organize work requests and report status on regular basis
+ Deliver education and training to Customer with a focus on how Customer will leverage the features and capabilities for their business use
What are the requirements needed for this position?
+ 4-year degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Business Administration, Data Science or related field or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years' experience in business analysis, requirements definition, building systems solutions and deployment of business requirements to information systems
+ 3+ years' experience as healthcare business analyst or other healthcare related role
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
+ Critical thinking skills and attention to details
+ General knowledge of healthcare operations
+ Strong foundation in business analysis and general consulting principles
+ Business Analysis certification(s) are a plus
+ Data analyst experience is a plus
+ Detailed knowledge of MS Office suite of products
+ Detailed knowledge of Confluence and JIRA
+ PMI-PBA is preferred
+ Ability to handle shifting priorities

How much should I expect to travel?
20 - 25% Travel Required. While we are not currently traveling, please expect this approximate amount for customer visits or team onsite visits when travel resumes
