Position Overview:

This role will interface with all key stakeholders at BerganKDV, including vendors, staff and the Leadership team. The Operations Technology Specialist position will be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of all facets of the firm. This includes providing technical support to all internal solutions, including Wealth Management, CPA Services, Payroll, Internal Finance, and Operational teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support of Internal facing IT processes, applications and users.
• Gather and document business requirements for resolving issues, enhancements, and projects.
• Prepare and configure applications to meet business requirements and execute solutions that help business units achieve their strategic objectives.
• Test and track business applications and enhancements through the implementation phase.
• Analyze business strategy and user needs, document business processes, and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications for resolving issues, new enhancements, and new applications.
• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding and available IT solutions.
• Maintain vendor relationships to help control costs, reduce potential risks related to vendors, and ensure excellent service deliverability and deriving value.
• Review existing applications and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist the Operation team during M&A activities.
• Act as the liaison to our outsourced IT support vendors.
• Present technical solutions that enhance the value of BerganKDV's products and services.
• Provide new user training on supported applications as requested.
• Create and maintain documentation of all core IT business processes.
• Provide support to the Internal IT Reporting team.
• Keep current on new and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems including Microsoft Windows and 10, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL, Office 365, and Active Directory
• Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, anti-virus and anti-spam applications, VPN Clients, VMWare, among others
• Working knowledge of VMWare
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience and proven analytical/problem solving skills a must Prior experience supporting remote users preferred
• PowerBI knowledge
• Knowledge of API's and system integration technologies
• Ability for limited travel to other offices
• Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work with a minimal amount of detailed direction
• Strong customer service orientation
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
