Corporate Risk
As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk - or Independent Risk Management - provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk. Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including: Data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.

The Role
The Corporate Risk Reporting and Analytics (CRRA) Product Management role is accountable for liaising and partnering with technology to implement the Corporate Risk Reporting Technology Platform Strategy ensuring alignment with the organization's policies around CRRA data, reporting applications and systems. This role is the product owner for the reporting tool and collaborates with Enterprise Technology to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of CRRA owned applications and tools. This person is responsible for ensuring the delivery of automated regression testing and building the new automated reporting tool for corporate risk, and driving the automation of manual reporting overall. They are a single point of contact for all technology needs of the CRRA and identify and implement efficient, reliable, and cost-effective tools and applications. The position requires: Subject Matter Credibility - Owns and manages (Application Business Owner) as appropriate specific risk reporting / data applications / systems and ensure optimal end user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the Risk Reporting roadmap in conjunction with technology and securing the necessary associated budget and forecast.
  • Provides overall direction to prioritize and manage onboarding / enhancements of risk reporting / data applications by liaising with internal teams and enterprise technology teams.
  • Is the primary point of contact for technology needs of CRRA (Corporate Risk Reporting & Analytics).
  • Reviews reporting tools analysis and options prepared by technology and makes determination of final tool selection that best aligns with Reporting use cases.
  • Proactively plans, builds, and delivers automations for reporting and testing.
  • Partners with Infrastructure domains to deliver reporting and testing automation roadmaps.
  • Provides direction to build robust testing principles for data within CRRA. Defines and implements Testing governance framework for CRRA.
  • Liaises with enterprise/Corporate risk technology on the infrastructure needs of CRRA .
  • Manages technology related projects to deliver consistent benefits for CRRA organization. Drives a culture of reliability, and ensures teams are aligned around common priorities and approaches.
  • Evaluates Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) plans to ensure appropriate back-up and recovery requirements for Corporate Risk Reporting are met

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management
  • 7+ years of management experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 20+ years of experience in technology solution management especially in application ownership, reporting and testing automation, creating, and deploying technology framework
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in a multi-level matrixed organization, preferably in owning and supporting a technology solution.
  • Strong collaborative management style, with an execution- and results-oriented focus. Ability to manage/deal with uncertainties and the zeal to identify opportunities in adversities
  • Is a strong people manager; builds high performing and diverse teams, able to lead geographically dispersed teams, sets and achieves high standards for self and team. Compassionate leader with humility and someone who possess broad-based thinking ability
  • A demonstrated track record of effectively and constructively leading change in large, complex, and global organization(s). Ability to understand/sense the varying decision-making styles and navigate effectively
  • Knowledge of the financial services and other related industries (technology) and understanding of the emerging trends, compliance, regulatory, and economic environment, and the impact on Wells Fargo
  • Understands multiple perspectives, spots business priorities, and aligns divergent positions, brings cohesion to diverse perspectives and achieves objectives that require a high level of collaboration across Wells Fargo
  • A strategic business partner capable of balancing the need for innovation and change with regulatory realities, internal need to manage risk and cultural readiness for change management.
  • Has the ability to present and discuss information in a way that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
