Job description

Position Summary: The Content Strategist/Writer is responsible for developing a company-wide content strategy including audit, analysis, and editorial process; conducting thorough research on industry-related topics; generating ideas for new content types and proofreading copy before publication; and setting editorial standards and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and internal reference materials).

Write clear copy to promote our company, products, and solutions/services.

Proofread and edit content before publication.

Coordinate with key knowledge base holders to extract their expertise in order to facilitate various forms of content creation.

Conduct keyword research and create search engine optimization (SEO) guidelines to increase web traffic.

Promote content on social media and online channels.

Identify industries' and customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.

Develop editorial guidelines to ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone).

Update website, social media, and other communication channels as needed.

Some travel may be needed to support projects.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Specifications:

Excellent writing and editorial skills; strong interpersonal skills and experience running / leading interviews and discovery calls.

Experience working directly with key stakeholders, team members, technical experts, and professional staff.

Able to manage social media, website, and print media marketing.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, PDF software, Adobe suite graphic, and layout programs.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Detail-oriented, good organizational, and team leadership skills.

Able to manage multitask work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to stay on schedule under tight and changing deadlines.

Able to work under minimal supervision on a broad variety of projects.

Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the course of work.

Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet job requirements.

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, and/or comparable experience and/or training.

2 + years of direct experience in content strategy and development, communication and/or marketing, or other related positions in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.

Bilingual - English and Spanish speaking preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
