Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

The Credit Portfolio Consultant 2 provides credit and portfolio expertise and consulting services to the Agribusiness Industry Advisors. Identifies and assesses credit performance, potential and emerging risks, and partners on credit and portfolio strategies. Supports monitoring, reviews, and reporting. Applies advanced knowledge to serve as an advisor and resource to corporate and/or LOB management regarding credit and credit portfolio. Creates and analyzes complex reports; presents findings to management and provides input into decision-making. Prepares recurring and ad hoc reporting packages for management. Manages analytical tools to capture credit trends and team activities. Working with business partners, provides
analytic solutions and develops strategies to support or negate change recommendations. Supports and implements initiatives with low to moderate risk. Internal interaction with team and limited to some external interaction. Works independently; does not manage other team members.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: account relationship management, credit analysis, credit underwriting management, or risk experience demonstrated through work or military experience
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Agriculture industry experience
- Knowledge and understanding of production agriculture, livestock, dairy industries, or agribusinesses
- Experience monitoring market intelligence in the agriculture industry
- Market research experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques
- Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Other Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) skills
- BA/BS-Agriculture-related degree
- Data collection experience
- Experience creating PowerPoint presentations including charts and graphs
- Experience working across various lines of business or with multiple stakeholders
Job Expectations
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
