Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing referral sources to solicit interest from potential applicants.
  • Research new advertising avenues to generate interest from qualified applicants.
  • Write and place advertisements/job postings using both external (print and online media, state/federal agencies, technical schools, career fairs etc.) and internal sources (promote employee referral bonus program).
  • Screen incoming applications.
  • Communicate information about position, career advancement, and benefits packages during the selection process.
  • Perform in-person and virtual interviews with selected candidates (travel throughout the US required).
  • Administer required screening for pre-placement exams and testing.
  • Make final selections for hiring recommendations.
  • Extend offers to those approved by department manager.
  • Coordinate with Recruiting Assistant to schedule and monitor results of all pre-placement physicals and drug screens.
  • Maintain records and provide weekly reporting on recruiting activity.
  • Coordinate and participate in new employee orientation sessions.
  • Review/renew recruiting materials as necessary to ensure applicants receive the most current information possible.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university preferred; or equivalent career experience with recruitment and selection required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
  • Ability and confidence to effectively communicate with applicants, management, staff, and outside agencies and to conduct interviews.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize the related workflow
  • Experience with the Workday Recruiting module preferred.
