Summary: Performs complex level professional internal auditing work with a focus on analytical analysis, financial process and procedures, and IT related projects. Work involves leading or conducting IT, operational, financial and compliance audit projects; evaluating and testing of the company's internal control systems to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley; providing consulting services to the organization's management and staff; and providing key input to development of the Annual Audit Plan. Maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards including adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Works independently under general supervision of Internal Audit Management with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: (Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)

* Prepare detailed reports on operational, financial and information systems audit findings.
* Supervise audits activities including planning, determining scope of investigation required and execution of audit activities.
* Report to management about audit results, and recommend changes in operations, financial, or information systems activities.
* Conduct pre-implementation audits to determine if systems and programs under development will work as planned.
* Examine records and interview workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with laws and regulations.
* Examine whether the organization's objectives are reflected in its management activities, and whether employees understand the objectives.
* Inspect accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
* Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
* Review and analyze data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.
* Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
* Produce up-to-the-minute information, using internal computer systems, to allow management to base decisions on actual, and historical data.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems Management or related field.
* Minimum 3-6 years related experience (to fields noted above) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Understand internal control concepts as well as the technical aspects of accounting and financial reporting.
* Project Management and IT systems experience or a general understanding of how information systems operate is a plus.
* Knowledge of company operations, systems, or products and/or general industry knowledge or experience is a plus.
* CPA (or candidate), CIA or CISA certification preferred.

Travel:

Approximately 15%-30% with overnight stays including some international travel to Canada and the United Kingdom.

* Computer Skills: Considerable skill in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheet and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries, and analyses; Data Analytics software experience is a plus; Experience with Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a plus.
* Analytical: Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions; Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures
* Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in individual and group problem solving situations
* Interpersonal Skills: Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations; Skill in negotiating issues and resolving conflict, not blaming; Maintains confidentiality; ;
* Oral Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens to understand and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills
* Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively
* Planning/Organizing : Considerable skill in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines; Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently and effectively; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives; Develops realistic action plans.
