PEC's Landscape Architecture, Planning, and Development team provides a multitude of services including: site analysis, site inventory, site planning, land planning, planting design, grading, storm water management, sustainable design, construction specification, and ensuring that all plans meet the current building codes and local and federal ordinances. The Landscape Architect position is fully supported by the entire Municipal team. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design of landscape and site plans for a variety of projects including, but not limited to commercial & residential development, parks, sports complexes, zoos, pools, urban design, parks, streets & highways and bicycle & pedestrian facilities.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications using CADD software.
  • Conduct preliminary site studies and site master plans.
  • Provide technical assistance and coordinate with clients and other professional disciplines on individual projects.
  • Visit project sites to monitor construction progress and work quality.
  • Project management
  • Develop new business opportunities and build client relationships.
  • Prepare supporting graphics for presentations, displays and deliverable work products.
  • Assist with public presentations, meetings and other community engagement activities.

Qualifications:

  • An accredited bachelor's degree in landscape architecture is required.
  • Previous experience preferred but not required.
  • An understanding of regulatory permit requirements, land development practices, zoning and subdivision approval processes and land use planning principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Sketchup required.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and ESRI ArcGlS is desirable.
  • Current state licensure as a registered landscape architect is preferred, not required. Additional professional certification in landscape architecture, planning or a related field is desirable.
