Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products- Gallatinseeks qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources CoordinatorThe HR Coordinator, with be part of the NTP-North HR Team, and will be located at the NTP-Gallatin site. This position will be responsible for all human resources related functions for a start-up location of Nucor Tubular Products. The initial key functions will be recruiting and onboarding new teammates by utilizing the Nucor recruiting and selection processes. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service; administering and educating prospective team members on Nucor and the benefits of being a teammate. As the team grows, the position will take on the responsibility of all HR related functions, including all benefit administration; leave of absence in compliance with Nucor, federal, and state regulations; organizing and communicating teammate training opportunities, employment-related programs including events and outreach efforts; assisting with compliance training and preparation of required reports while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness; preparing teammate communications and notices concerning HR functions; presenting as required; maintain teammate data in the HRIS system; traveling to other sites as needed; and performing other HR duties in assistance of the whole NTP-North HR Team. The successful candidate will be aligned with, and support, the vision of the product group, and conducting themselves in a manner that is consistent with Nucor's Mission and Culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with two years HR work experience; or, similar 2-year degree with equivalent work experience.
  • History of direct involvement with common HR practices, procedures, employment law and liability.
  • Prior experience with recruiting, benefits, and AAP compliance
  • Comfortable with public speaking and training large groups
  • Must have valid driver's license and ability to travel when needed


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of fundamental federal and state employment laws
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to flex schedule for occasional travel and to assist production team members on a rotating shift schedule.
