Job description

Overview:
Responsible and accountable for the development and implementation of processes, policies, procedures, and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.

Minimum of 8 years significant, direct, and practical Human Resources Management experience in food/beverage, consumer products, or manufacturing industry required.

Experience providing Human Resources leadership to operations, logistics, and sales teams required.

Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology, highly preferred.

Other Functions:

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships in order to drive company strategy and efficient methods in achieving the lowest landed cost possible.

Capacity to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks and removing obstacles.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and in a variety of cultures.

Willingness to travel as necessary.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

PHR or SPHR preferred

Responsibilities:
Originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

Plan, develop, recommend, and implement Human Resources policies, procedures, activities, and programs.

Responsible for recruiting/staffing, employee education and training, management development, labor and employee relations, affirmative action, benefits administration, and salary administration.

Develop and maintain a positive, productive relationship with supply chain leadership team.

Partner with all functional departments to ensure meeting business unit and company safety, service, cost, and people goals.

Deliver guidance to other members of the management team, providing direction and support on HR related issues.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.

Hire, train, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and corrective action.

Develop programs that increase employees' skills, strengthen their managerial ability, and provide career counseling.

Manage communication to support positive employee relations.

Ensure alignment of all policies and practices of the business unit with the guidelines provided by the corporate Human Resources department.

Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

Maintain records of insurance coverage, pension plan, and personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
