Biometric Screener
Crown Services is proud to accept applications for a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant in Somerset, KY! This part-time opportunity pays $19/hr. and is available starting in January of 2022. This assignment will run until the end of May. Hours of operation are 7am-12pm, Tuesday- Friday.
As a Biometric Screener, you can expect to:
Screen volunteer individuals at various businesses and government agencies in Pulaski County for:
- height
- weight
- body mass index (BMI)
- blood pressure
- blood cholesterol
- blood sugar
-CNA or CMA certification required.
- Covid-19 Vaccine required.
- Prior work experience as a CNA or CMA screening for biometrics is highly preferred.
-Ability to perform work independently with limited supervision.
-Ability to travel to various sites in Pulaski County and surrounding areas regularly.
-Great written and verbal communication skills.
-HS diploma or GED

Job Requirements:
- Screen property to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers
- Identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing objects from being transported onto aircraft
- Assisting in monitoring the flow of passengers through the screening checkpoint to facilitate the orderly and efficient processing of passengers
- Advise local security management /transportation
- Discovered during the screening process
- Provide security screening to prevent the introduction of weapons, explosives and other deadly or dangerous items into the air transportation system by means of available screening equipment
- Implementing security-screening procedures that are central to security objectives that will serve to protect the traveling public by preventing any deadly or dangerous objects
- Secure airports, seaports, railroads, highways and public transit systems
- Performing searches and screening, which may include physical interaction with passengers (e. g., pat-downs, search of property)
- Monitoring walk-through metal detector screening equipment
- Improve security screening processes and personal performance through training and development
- Perform security screening of persons, including tasks such as: pat-down searches, monitoring walk-through screening equipment
- Resolve security issues at the checkpoints and baggage ETC
- Identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing objects from being transported onto aircraft;. Performing searches, including bag checks and pat-downs
- Provide security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft by supporting the airport screening training program through a variety of training related functions
- Identify and prevent dangerous objects from being transported onto aircraft
- Provide security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft using screening equipment and perform searches, which could include physical interaction with passengers during pat-downs
- Maintain focus and awareness and work within a stressful environment
