Job description

Position Summary:

Provides specialized operational and administrative support to the Human Resources Director with such functions as employment, compensation, labor relations and benefits. Provides routine advice, assistance, and follow-up to all Team Members with regard to policies, procedures, and documentation. Develops and maintains files, records, and other documents.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Review and verify incoming and outgoing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform or assist the resolution of policy-related, process-related, or procedural problems and/or inquiries received from Team Members.
  • Prepare documents and composes routine correspondence, on HR related policy and procedural issues as assigned.
  • Organize and maintain confidential files and data.
  • Provide assistance and coordination in the development and maintenance of human resource related data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
  • Participate in the development and recommendation of Human Resource policy and procedural improvements.
  • Maintain and update records for special incentive plans and bonus plans.
  • Prepare and distribute oral and written information about Team Member benefit programs, insurance plans, pension plans, paid time off and bonus plans, etc.
  • Serve as backup for all payroll procedures, such as entering automated payroll data, processing timecards, preparing journal entries, maintaining tax deductions and exemptions, including medical leave, benefits, promotions and terminations.
  • Assist in developing job descriptions for positions within the financial institution.
  • Reconcile accounts related to benefits, taxes and payroll deductions.
  • Complete invoices for each employer-sponsored benefit.
  • Perform monthly employee account audit.


Skills / Talents:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration preferred; or one to two years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws.
  • Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills; Self Starter.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Knowledgeable of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Professional appearance that projects a positive company image to the public
