Lipsey's is growing and currently has an opening for a HR Coordinator in our Baton Rouge, Louisiana office. As a HR Coordinator, you will assist the HR Manager in specialized departmental tasks with a strong emphasis on recruiting. This position also performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the human resources department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

RECRUITING:

  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
  • Assist with job posting and advertisement processes
  • Review resumes and conduct pre-screening phone interviews
  • Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Keep the applicants moving through the hiring process, coordinating background checks and pre-employment requirements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
  • Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientation, HR and payroll onboarding

WELLNESS:

  • Coordinate with wellness program provider to formulate and execute annual wellness plan
  • Work with provider for online administration and participation tracking
  • Promote events and challenges to employees
  • Schedule and lead wellness activities

ADMINISTRATION:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files in payroll system
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Work with time and attendance tracking in payroll system
  • Quarterly attendance reporting

COMPANY EVENTS:

  • Participate in the planning and execution of all company-wide events (March Madness, Olympics, Company meeting prep, special event lunches, etc.)

TRAINING/DEVELOPMENT:

  • Oversee usage of online training and development system, report on training activities to managers, set up training tracks by department

Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; 3+ years of recruiting experience preferred
