PMI is an Environmental Service company focusing our work in the Energy Industry, specifically upstream oil and gas and has been in the Environmental Business for 25 years.
PMI's core Environmental Services consist of Offshore Supply Vessel Tank Cleaning, Production & Process Equipment Cleaning, NORM Remediation, Facility Decommissioning, Site Demolition & Restoration, Soil Remediation, Pit Closures, and Drilling Solids Control Management.
PMI is seeking a seasoned Personnel Manager / Recruiter with experience in the oil & gas industry. PMI would expect this individual to work closely with Operations to fill positions with the best candidates for open vacancies in various departments and geographic areas from south Louisiana to West Texas.
This professional will oversee (and may help create) HR practices, processes and strategies as they pertain to hiring and retention of personnel. Their duties include overseeing the recruitment process, planning and implementing training programs for staff and ensuring that employees follow best practices and company policies.
Responsibilities to Include:
· Creates job postings on social media and job boards to attract applicants online
· Managing any outsourced recruiting
· Seek out quality candidates through recruitment, inviting them to apply to a job, confirming their qualifications, screening candidates through phone interviews, process background checks, selection, schedule interviews with the hiring department manager, assist with and the onboarding process assisting with all parts of their transition
· Inform rejected applicants that they didn't get the job and contact selected candidates about their job offer
· Foster good relationships with recruits and company staffing agents and be able to follow through on a project
· Managing a company's appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings
· Ensuring that a company's procedures comply with employment regulations
· Act as a liaison between applicants/new hires and department managers
· Monitoring various aspects of an employee's performance, such as attendance and sick leave
· Assuring new hires need for orientation and refresher training programs
· Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances and/or conflicts
· Adhering to established pay structures and employee benefits
Skills and Qualifications to Include:
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas
· Strong leadership skills to guide, support, and motivate staff
· A solid understanding of the key principles of employment law
· The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts
· Knowledge of the relevant computer systems and software programs
· Solid ethics and morals and sound judgement
Education and Training Requirements
· Minimum of a high school diploma is required
· Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources would be preferred
· 5-8 years of experience in recruiting is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
