Job Purpose/Background:

As Greenbacker continues to raise capital and grow our investment portfolio, an opportunity has arisen to join Greenbacker Administration, which primarily provides asset management, financial, operational and administrative support and managerial oversight for Greenbacker. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of five, the onboarding of new suppliers within the Accounts Payable module, overseeing accurate and timely payments, and will work collaboratively with the Accounting and Asset Management departments under the guidance of the Manager of Operational Accounting.

As a small and evolving firm, the responsibilities will be broad, varied and all encompassing. The role is based in our office in Portland, Maine and offers competitive pay and an attractive benefits package.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervising and AP team of five including planning workloads, allocating tasks and monitoring progress against targets
* Working cross departmentally to ensure timely expense approval and payment processing for over 200 legal entities.
* Communicating professionally to internal stakeholders and vendors regarding payment concerns and guaranteeing excellence in customer service.

* Collaborating across multiple Greenbacker departments to track, consolidate and project manage the onboarding of new Suppliers to GB accounting systems.
* Assisting the Manager in the establishment and practice of efficient procedures in support of policy and evolving practices to maintain work quality within the AP department.
* Collaborating with various departments in performing account analysis, ad hoc vendor/payment reporting, reconciliation support and other requirements to help with month end, quarter end, year end and audit requests.
* Assisting with cross-department tasks as needed.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required; or equivalent experience leading accounts payable teams.
* 3-5 years of experience in GL Accounting with prior supervisory experience, preferably in related industry and public company.
* Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.

* Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud or other accounting ERP software programs is a plus.
* Knowledge of Asana or other project management software is a plus.
* Ability to thrive and grow quickly in a fast-growing company.
* Analytical and detail-oriented with a thirst for learning.
* Highly motivated, independent, results-oriented, and possesses a strong sense of ownership.

* Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
