HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
JOB OVERVIEW

The Human Resources manager is responsible for the organization and management of all human resource information and processes within the Jar Cannabis portfolio of businesses. The HR Manager will report directly to the owners of the business and will work alongside all Director Level positions

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Hiring/Firing

  • Responsible for managing all job postings
  • Screens and vets all applicants for all positions
  • Manages all onboarding (offer letters, W2's, etc.)
  • Manages all terminations and subsequent record keeping

Conflict Resolution

  • Acts as main arbitrator for any personnel conflicts arising in the business
  • Present at conversations with employees involving potential discipline
  • Record keeping of all incidents (behavioral, OSHA related, or otherwise)

Benefits Management and Admin

  • Sources and manages benefits packages under supervision from owners.
  • Act as liaison between employee and insurance provider on questions regarding benefits
  • Track employee PTO and manage the process between employees and payroll.

Payroll

  • Manage all payroll reporting to Paychex. Confirm payroll accuracy from week-to-week. Works with department mgrs to gather payroll info weekly
  • Work with Director of Finance to reconcile payroll weekly

Employee safety and organizational compliance

  • Making sure employees have all of the safety resources needed (access to first aid, eye wash, etc)
  • Confirming and communicating compliance with all local and federal labor laws (posting all poster and employee resources

Ongoing employee development

  • Encouraged to seek out programs and content aimed at furthering professional development opportunities for JarCo employees.

TIME COMMITTMENTS

  • This is a salaried position. It is expected that the position can be fulfilled within 40-50 hours per week
  • It is expected for you to work at JarCo facilities 4 days per week and from home one-day per week, with the understanding that you may be called into the office on the 5thday if required.
  • 2 weeks paid vacation/1 week unpaid available

WORK REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Human Resources
  • Minimum education level of Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment. Capable of implementing change in the work place.
  • Must embody and promote our workplace values and culture
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Organized, Organized. Organized!
  • Self starter - does not require constant micro management or reinforcement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
