Job description
AMEWAS, Inc., a growing Defense Contracting Firm, is seeking highly motivated and talented Recruiter to support our Corporate Headquarters.
This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Recruiter.
Location: California, Maryland: Best Places for Tech Jobs (#4); to learn more about our surrounding location, please visit . This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.
A typical day as a Recruiter:
- Draft and post open requisitions to AMEWAS company website, job boards, social media, etc.
- Source and screen applicants and candidates to determine qualifications
- Schedule and conduct interviews of qualified applicants
- Present benefits summaries to interviewing candidates
- Develop relationships with hiring managers in order to understand current and future requirements, post requisitions, present qualified candidates and make hiring recommendations
- Gather and assemble recruitment data weekly and present to HR Manager
- Attend hiring events and job fairs as applicable
- Progress and implement recruiting and marketing strategies to attract top talent
- Grow a talented candidate pipeline for future openings
- Occasional travel may be required
Must-haves:
- At least 2 years of experience recruiting; in the defense contracting environment is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree (may substitute years of recruiting or industry experience for degree).
- Excellent ability to identify talent and build relationships with potential candidates.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally.
- Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any questions a potential hire may have.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System desired.
- Previous experience interviewing and assessing potential hired for technology positions and assisting with onboarding processes desired.
AMEWAS, Inc. requires employees to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19 no later than 8 December 2021. An employee will be considered fully vaccinated when at least two (2) weeks have elapsed after the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 series or at least two (2) weeks have elapsed after a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

Physical environment and working conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
