The Senior Business Analyst has deep practical experience in the role, with repeated practice performing business analysis and design in a variety of complex situations, working strategically at an enterprise level on large scale business change with high levels complexity and risk. The Senior Business Analyst operates with a high level of interactive communication to set a clear direction for others, demonstrating high levels of inclusion and cultural sensitivity.
The role will partner with the Business Relationship Manager to ensure the quality of business cases, oversee business process design and ensure that proposed solutions meet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards and customer experience needs.
The Senior Business Analyst will determine the process and requirements management methodology practices within their function, ensuring that the methodology, quality, and compliance standards are adhered to; contributing to internal IT processes and standards for business analysis and design. In addition, the Senior Business Analyst will mentor other Business Analysts to develop their skills and share best practices in relevant communities of practice.
Ideal candidates must have these essential skills:
- Strong understanding of SDLC , including strategic planning, early assessment, phased/agile implementation, process design, project management, etc.
- Experience of leading business analysis for major pharma's lab IT systems (e.g., ELN, LIMS, Omics, etc.)
Ideal candidates should also have at least one of these education/experience backgrounds:
- Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, MD) in relevant scientific fields (e.g., Chemistry, Molecular Biology) plus more than 5 years' experience in major biotech, pharmaceutical companies or consulting firms
- Bachelor degree in relevant scientific fields (e.g., Chemistry, Molecular Biology) plus more than 10 years' experience in major biotech, pharmaceutical companies or consulting firms
